Founding Bot X 0.1.1
Released October 17, 2026. All releases
Founding Bot X
- The user guides are now online at founding.bot/x/docs.
- The list of models and agent versions Founding Bot X recommends now comes from founding.bot.
@foundingbot/xon npm has its own page. The npm package and command-line downloads now include the license notices, and the apps list T3 Code's license.
New
- Step reasoning effort up or down from the keyboard: bind Composer: Increase Effort and Composer: Decrease Effort in Settings → Keybindings.
- A new pairing includes every permission unless you choose some with
--scope. Devices you've already paired keep the permissions they have.
Faster
- The chat view, sidebar, settings, and dialogs re-render far less while agents work, reconnect, or update their status.
Fixes
- A slow but healthy Codex no longer shows as Unavailable.
- Follow-up messages sent while a thread is compacting are queued until it finishes.
- A running Claude workflow member shows its answer so far, and background subagents keep their Founding Bot X tools after the parent turn ends.
- Threads whose subagents' background work was cut short by a restart wake up again.
- Settings reads, startup logs, and preview snapshots no longer include sensitive values.
- Webhook request values reach the agent marked as request data.
- The sidebar no longer crashes when a thread leaves it.
- Switching machines no longer leaves a busy state behind or rewrites a draft you closed.
- Each reconnect gets its own grace period before the "unavailable" banner appears.
- Stopping a terminal on Windows no longer waits on timeouts.
Upgrading
Update from 0.1.0 as usual: the desktop app updates itself, and foundingbot-x update updates the command line.
